Luke Potter, Lead Pastor
Luke did his Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Notre Dame, where he currently teaches part time in the philosophy department. Before planting New City, Luke was involved in youth ministry, campus ministry, and, for several years, was an associate pastor in the South Bend area.
Luke’s wife Jennie has degrees in theology, biology and nursing. She’s currently a nurse in the oncology unit at St. Joseph Health System. Their son, Jack, is two. His favorite book is Jack and Melissa Hwang’s excellent Star Wars Epic Yarns, and his favorite song is the Star Wars Theme. His father is very proud.
Katie Kelley, Communications Director
Katie Kelley is a graduate student at the University of Notre Dame, where she studies developmental psychology. Before moving to South Bend, Katie worked as a psychology professor and youth ministry director in Chattanooga, TN. She holds several degrees in psychology and Biblical studies. She and her husband Daniel live in the Near Northwest neighborhood of South Bend with their two dogs and two cats.
Rachel Rupprecht, ESL Coordinator
Rachel Rupprecht started teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to Hispanic immigrants while in college, where she got certified in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). She then taught ESL at an elementary school and to Arab immigrants before moving to South Bend to do graduate work in philosophy at Notre Dame. She loves hanging out with her neighbors and exploring South Bend on her bike.
Patrick Klamm, Bible Clubs
After graduating from Bethel University with degrees in Psychology and Ministry, Patrick and his wife Kacie moved to South Bend. In the summer of 2018, Patrick joined the team at New City to direct our Bible Club ministry in Monroe Circle. He has a passion for youth ministry and has worked with kids in a variety of roles: as therapist, teacher, camp counselor, and coach. His ideal day would include a trip to a waterpark, fueled with milkshakes and french fries.
